“Ek Sadha Prashna” (One Simple Question) presents a sweet story of a Marathi family living in the Silicon Valley. It is a Marathi short-film (with English sub-titles), by a debutante writer-director Mandar Kulkarni, entirely produced in the US by a group of Marathi cast and crew. This movie is shot in HD by a young cinematographer Yashad Kulkarni and features a wonderful child actor Abhiraam Wadekar.



After Vishal (Sachin Shrikhande) and Nirmal (Maneesha Phatak) divorced, their second-grader son Aneesh (Abhiraam Wadekar) lives with Vishal but is very attached to his mom. Vishal intends to marry Deepa (Hemangi Wadekar) and he earnestly wants Aneesh to accept Deepa as new mom. Although Aneesh accepts this idea, he is not ready to call Deepa “mom” and challenges Vishal to find what he should call Deepa before they get married. Finally, Deepa resolves this dilemma.
